I have a "thing" with the Church. (Some of you who read this blog hopefully know that by now). Some call it semantics but I think it's an overlooked statement that really has some deep theological value. Bottom line we are a CALLED OUT PEOPLE-a group, a family of God's people invited by God himself to be on a mission to bless and transform the world-not just sit in a building once a week or study the Bible to feel good. I'm on this mission to gracefully challenge people to change their language. We are a PART of the Church. We ARE the church. We DON'T GO TO church because church is not a place. I recently spoke on the topic of the Church a few Sundays ago at PCC's worship gatherings. You can hear it here.

I got some new Dance Moves

We are still..... waiting..... for our Baby Gap to make her appearance. So I've been pre-preparing blogs so that when she does come I can have some to post. My NEW AND NEXT VLOG is coming out in a few weeks, updated with some new stuff. I've been looking for some new intro music and was recommended this song. I probably won't use it, cause I don't speak French and don't know what he's saying, but I may use some of the dance moves.

This Vlog is a special one because I am reflecting with an old friend who started following Jesus with us in Redwood City. Chris (we call him:) Columbus now lives and serves in his home country of Poland. This was the guy I blogged about back in September (see it here). His story is one of God's power and truth to change a life and how truly living out God's design for relationships satisfies and blesses. The power of community!!

I filmed this Vlog early in the week and didn't have time to edit with the news of my Step-bro Kyle, until last night. I almost wondered if I should just bag this Vlog and not post since it didn't seem to fit with the mood of this week's circumstances. I actually say, "This season is going good so far," and it didn't seem right that I should post it in light of the death experienced this week. But then I got this comment from good friends the Wongs: "Life is so bittersweet - a wedding one week, finding out if you're having a boy or a girl, seeing Isella play, and grieving a loss. And God in the midst of all of it. God is sovereign and mysterious." They are so right.

Since I love the opportunity to to express creatively my time spent editing was fun and worshipful. Enjoy. I love our community and being the church.
