Hey Tony,
I think that the OAK starbucks is out of business. . .
As for your other questions. . .
I love different spaces and different ways to spend my time with God. Sometimes its on the couch by myself (when the roomies aren't around). Sometimes its just with my guitar. Sometimes its outside with my journal and Bible. Sometimes its with some music, my Bible, and coffee and a good friend at Starbucks. I guess I'm eclectic in how I spend my time with God.
2nd question. . .I wouldn't say that I've eperienced much persecution in my life. But, I do remember my principal in high school was not very friendly when it came to our weekly prayer meetings. We were meeting in a teacher's room for awhile and the teacher got in some trouble for "hosting" our prayer time before school, so we had to start meeting on the lawn outside school. This was the end of my senior year, so I don't know if anything changed after I left. I remember just being frustrated and disappointed.
I thought this year, I would face some persecution, or some anger in regards to my faith. But really, I had people ask more questions than anything else. Interesting. . .

Hey there Tony,

It's Monica Ayers, a long lost friend. Over the past few years I've read your blog a lot. Like is crazy, and hectic, but exciting. Something in me always brings me back to PCC. Looks like you and your family are well, and I'm glad of it. I'm still seeking the Lord, trying to find that balance and peace. Keep doing what you're doing, and say a prayer for me. Take Care. Monica
